The historic Pafa headquarter dating back to the 70s. located in the heart of Montemurlo - one of the main industrial areas of the Prato textile district - and which housed all the phases of the production cycle. including painting.

The great passion of Mario Fani has always been mechanics. Raised in Prato. the most important textile disctrict in Europe. he founded his textile machinery company in 1962. Today Pafa. of which Mario Fani is president. is specialized in the production of fancy yarn machines. combing machines. raising machines. chenille machines and accessories. and produces entirely in Italy in its factory in Prato

In 2005 Pafa moved to the Prato headquarters. located in the new industrial area called Macrolotto 2. The company became more modern also in the type of organization: more dynamic and flexible thanks to a network of partners and trusted suppliers with whom it establishes a relationship tested able to guarantee quality and competitive lead time

With over 100 machines installed of our iconic Legafil 100 model - as well as raising machines and other fancy yarn machines - China represents one of our main markets.

The air technology applied to the fancy yarn production process has made it possible to produce a type of yarn - extremely light and voluminous - which has proved to be a great success. This type of yarn had already been known for years altough the production process was inefficient . Pafa. with the Airjet machine presented at Itma 2011. has solved the previous production probleMS allowing the success of this special yarn on a large scale

Virtual reality comes to PAFA. At the ITMA 2019 stand in Barcelona. ??visitors can have an immersive experience. literally entering the company and "almost" touching the machinery of their interest.

Pafa has been present in the Asian markets - China and India in particular - for many years now. attending to the main sector trade fairs such as ITMA ASIA and Shanghaitex. Our country agents have been a precious help especially during Pandemic time. when travelling from Europe to those countries was rather difficult.
