Marcello Savio. founder of the small workshop specialized in repairing textile machinery. mainly looms.

The mechanical workshop "Marcello Savio" is established in 1911 in the building next to the tipography founded by the father. Rambaldo.

The Binatrice Savio BS. was the first machine produced by Savio. characterized by strong structure. rapidity and excellence in performances and by the innovative yarn control system.

The Assembly winder BS-CL/CN. had the same structure of the Assembly winder BS. but was introduced the possibility to adjust the axial displacement of all the yarn guides.in order to change the winding angle for the yarn distribution over the package.

In the years of the post war recovery. Luciano Savio takes on the responsibility of the company. He begins developing textile machinery of his own design and launches his products on the market.

The single drive ring twisting machine is designed to process cotton. staple. blends. artificial and synthetics cut fibers.

Christmas 1953 and Christmas 1955. People. since the first moment. have been the stronghold of Savio.

The CSg. Cilindro Savio Gasatrice. innovative and original Savio's idea. used the gas instead of heating elements to nurd the cotton yarn hairiness and to prepare the package to the mercerization process. This machine was ideated for the shirts' yarn: perfectly hair-free.

The new automatic winder RSA was presented at Hannover fair ITMA in 1963.

The Assembly winder with independent heads. ASI. produced parallel wound bobbins feeding. ensuring a higher yarn quality.

In 1969 is launched the new winder machine RSA2. from which will be developed a new version. in the following year. characterized by an automatic feeding and manual package doffing.

Luciano Savio received in Beijing by Chinese head of government Zhou Enlai in May 1971.

Under ENI management and resources. manufacturing lines are modernized. extended and R&D activities boosted.

ITMA Milan 1983. Savio introduced the first link winder appeared on the world market.

At ITMA Milan 1983. Savio presents under its own patent the "Twinsplicer". a yarn splicer that is able to perfectly reconstruct the yarn at the junction point. without knots.

The automatic winder machine espero. was presented at itma exhibition in paris in 1987.

M.me Wu. Chinese Minister for textile industry. sign the agreement for the cooperation with Qingdao Textile Machinery Works.

ITMA Milan 1995: Savio presents Geminis. Two-For-One twister. proposed with Duo-Pot device (Savio patent)

At ITMA Milan 1995. is displayed Espero Volufil. the automatic winder for continuos shrinkage and bulkig.

March 13th. 1996 is signed an agreement for the construction of a joint venture whose 51% of capital shares is owned by Savio. From 1998. the factory becomes reality and Savio begins yo consolidate its position on the Indian market.

Miro Radici. in 1998. acquires Savio Macchine Tessili Spa. becoming part of the Radici Group.

At ITMA Paris 1999. Savio presents the winder ORION characterized by winding heads totally managed by and electronic CPU board.

The new Two-For-One twister Geminis S with tangential drive. was an absolute world novelty at ITMA Paris 1999. This twister machine combined all the experiences of Savio to better achieve cost reduction and minimum overall dimensions.

In 2001 the assembly unit Shandong Istma Textile Machinery Co. Ltd. was built with the aim of facing Chinese competition and increasing sales. producing on-site specific models of machines for the Chinese market.

At ITMA 2003 Birmingham. Savio exhibits the new rotor spinning frame FlexiRotorS 3000/Duo-Spinner: a machine fully computerized. which represents the highest cutting-edge innovation to the market.

At ITMA in Munich. Savio officially presents the full range of the new Polar automatic winders: M/L and I.

At ITMA ASIA Shanghai 2010. Savio exhibits the nw generation of Two-for-One twister. Sirius.

1911-2011. The centenary of Savio Textile Machinery.

At ITMA Milan 2015. Savio presents Volufil Multicone: the new automatic winder for continuous shrinkage. bulking and heat setting.

At ITMA in Milan. Savio officially presents the ECO PULSARS automatic winder.
