Illustration on a printed paper. of the first Ratti?s plant; the year was the 1871. Three big wheels situated in the lower floor aimed to action the main shaft. situated at the first floor. in which single pulleys and belts supplied the move for the few machines of the shop.

Michele Ratti (1839-1910) in 1869 after several years of experience in textile machines. founded its own activity in Voldomino. in the nearby of Luino city. near the Maggiore Lake.

At the 1906 International Exhibition in Milan. Ratti certifies definitely its innovative ?soul? and quality of products. conquering anoher medal and acknowledgement.

Twisting machines installed in "Stehli" plant. located in Germignaga city. These machines was specifically produced for the silk processing.

During the 50s' and 60s' Ratti twisting machines were installed in the most popular plants also all around the world. Great success was given from the TRN twisting machine. A sturdy machine made entirely of cast iron. with two tkae-up decks and a variable number of spindles: from 90 to 216 positions.

in this period the workers were about 600 people. and the company was known all around the world. This enlargement permitted to produce a great amount of work. also for the many local crafts company.

These were also the years of the rising of the R522 twisting machine. near the TRN. The R522 machine had a massive disposition of spindles on a double frontal line. The machine had much success both in Italy and around the world.

After a period of low bsuiness. Ratti is taken over by the Locatelli family. Even though several difficulties. the company began soon acquiring new orders and satisfying the customer requirements and after only three years the company announced a new production unit based in Cassano Valcuvia.

In July 2019. Ratti celebrates its 150th anniversary of history.

New two-for-one twisting machine for industrial yarns. developed and introduced in 2019. during the 150th anniversary.

Menegatto-21 covering machine developed during the acquisition of the Menegatto brand by Ratti in July 2021. In 2022. Ratti took a further step forward by also acquiring Menegatto's technological and mechanical know-how. thus being able to provide customers with a total support.
